Ankit Kumar, Managing Partner

Ankit Kumar

Ankit Kumar is a seasoned private equity investor and business builder with two decades of experience investing in and financing companies in business services, industrial technology, and transportation & logistics sectors.

Prior to founding Floravista Capital, Ankit was a senior investment professional with Gryphon Investors, a private equity firm based in San Francisco, where he was focused on investments in the business services and industrials sectors, and also launched the firm’s investment efforts within the software sector. In addition, Ankit has served as an advisor to global private equity firm KKR and industrial technology and services focused private equity firm Cogenuity Partners.

Ankit is also deeply involved in the technology and startup ecosystem in Silicon Valley and in India and is currently an advisor to Bay Area based startup accelerator MARL. In addition to his work with MARL, Ankit is an investor in multiple startups in the fintech and artificial intelligence sectors.

Ankit has written extensively for Forbes and Entrepreneur magazines and he has been widely covered in the media.

Ankit received his MBA from the Wharton School, where he was a Palmer Scholar. Ankit also earned graduate and undergraduate degrees in engineering from Stanford University and the Indian Institute of Technology.

Previously retired from Honeywell International after 25+ years in senior executive roles, including President of Honeywell Building Solutions, a $3B business with 11,000 employees across 52 countries.

Kelly Romano

Former President, Intelligent Building Technologies at UTC

Retired from United Technologies Corporation in 2016 after serving in various positions of increasing responsibility since 1984. Held senior executive positions including President, Intelligent Building Technologies, and President, Carrier Corporation. Currently serves as executive advisory board member of Gryphon Investors, senior advisory partner of Sand Oak Capital Partners, and director and co-chair of Potter Electric Signal.

Co-founder and Former CEO of Pine Hill Group

Accomplished leader in the accounting services sector who co-founded and led Pine Hill Group from start-up in 2007 through successful exit to CFGI in 2019. Subsequently built and led CFGI's South Region, growing annual revenue from $0 to over $50 million and headcount to over 150 professionals. Previously served as Senior Vice President of Finance at ATX Communications, collaborating on successful reorganization and sale. Chuck started his career at public accounting firms Ernst & Young and BDO.

Serves as Managing Director of MARL Accelerator, a specialized program dedicated to nurturing DeepTech startups leveraging 5G technology, with focus on AI/ML, IoT, and edge computing companies. Under his leadership, MARL has supported over 90 startups and built relationships with 150+ venture firms nationwide. Previously served as Equity Investment Specialist at US Capital Global, leading successful offerings for 80+ companies and securing $200+ million in strategic investments. Co-founded LendTech, a fintech startup that secured over $5 million in funding and achieved 300% revenue growth.
